Our favorite POWER OF PLAY week yet! Dramatic Play week! We hope you all enjoyed our AoHC Town Center and thank you to all who donated items!
Dramatic play is very important in child's play. It provides your child with a variety of problems to solve and many choices to make. Whether it's toe children wanting the same role or searching for just the right material or prop, your child uses cognitive thinking skills that they will use in every aspect of life. Kids can do a perfect imitation of Mom, Dad and teacher! Pretending helps your child understand the power of language! They make the connection between spoken and written language, a skill that later help them learn how to read! Most importantly, a child is actively experimenting with the social and emotional roles of life through dramatic play. They learn how to take turns, share and creatively problem solve.
