Onward To The New Year!

Hey everyone! I hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends. I know we all did! This week we are ringing in the new year that is soon coming. Classes during circle time talked about goals. What are goals? Why are they important? What goals do you have for the new year? It was nice to see what friends had to say. Classes also did a firework craft. You can't have new years without fireworks! To add along with the fireworks, we made noise makers to prepare for the dance party on Friday. Get your goals ready everyone! It all begins January 1st! You can do this!

Christmas Sweaters, Holiday Wreaths, and Breakfast With Santa!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a productive week. Our week has been filled with fun and festive activities. The Grinch came to visit us all. Some friends weren't as excited as others but we had some laughs as we watched how silly he was acting. Staff had Christmas sweater contests as well as a Christmas character contest and let me tell you they went all out. It's great to see our teachers in the spirit!

Speaking of the spirit of Christmas, families and us in admin showed so much love to our staff members here. We truly wouldn't be here without them. We are so grateful to have them here with us to teach and nurture all the little ones that come through our doors. Thank you teachers! We love you!

Classes then made their own version of a Christmas wreath along with doing the Alfalfa experiment. I guess we'll see in a few days if they can indeed grow without any light. To finish things off, Santa came to visit us on Friday! There was so much excitement when all the children saw him. Of course lots of pictures were taken. What a fun week. Christmas is just around the corner! Are you ready?

December Is Here!

Hey everyone! I hope this week for you all has been productive! With December finally making an appearance, there has been a lots of Christmas music being played along with some fun activities at the Academy! We wanted to make our elderly friends at the assisted living in our community feel the spirit of the season by sending Christmas cards. Homemade with lots of love from our friends.

Although we didn't get to see her, Mrs. Claus dropped off some milk and cookies for families to take home. She did sprinkle some Christmas magic on Ms. Monica and turned her into an elf and sent her to spread the word to all of the classrooms to not forget to take some home!

Toddlers got to play the game, "Ring Around The Rosie". A good ol' classic that can sometimes make you dizzy. Especially all the teachers having to do it with them.

To finish the week off, classes made their own version of a winter tree along with wearing a Christmas shirt. What a festive week!

It's Almost December!

Hey everyone! I hope you all are doing well! The cold weather is finally settling in. Although it's a little dreary outside with all this rain, we are still grateful for the heat to be finally behind us. Classes have started hanging their ornaments on the Christmas tree at the front desk which has been really cute to see. Our center is getting festive each day! We have a contest for the parents starting December 4th where the goal is to make a winter wonderland themed project come to life in the enrichment room. We have the cutest igloo to start us off along with families that are currently working on theirs as well. We can't wait for the other families to start bringing their projects in.  Sparkle is back! We can't wait to see what mischief she'll put herself in for this month. It's great to have her back!
