Spray Painting Fun

Our PreK 2 kiddos spray painted outside for their art project today. Ms. Kristy and Mrs. Renee allowed them to pour water and paint into a spray bottle then mix it up. The water thinned out the paint enough to allow the kids to spray the paint mixture on their paper. Some of them drenched their paper while other chose to just spray a couple times. What a beautiful day for a fun art project outside!

PreK 2 Creations

PreK 2 loved being outside to do their art project today. This was a great way to implement our High Reach Learning Curriculum into a daily art activity. Our weekly theme is "water moves in many ways" and this was a perfect example of how water (with a little paint too) can move! Our AoHC teachers are so great at coming up with ways to make learning SO fun!

The FISH Guy Visits

Last Friday we had Mr. Tim, The Fish Guy come and visit our school. He showed us a starfish, an eel, and a clown fish up close. We even got to touch the starfish! Mr. Tim taught us so many neat facts about these amazing creatures. He also had the starfish do a trick for us. When he put him down in shallow water he crawled to the side of the tank and almost flipped over onto his back searching for something else to cling to once he reached the top of the water. Pretty cool!

Showing off the starfish.

Wow!

Learning so much from Mr. Tim.

Touching the Starfish.

Even our Toddlers checked them out!

We loved the creatures!

HUGE thanks to Mr. Tim for taking time out of his busy Fish Guy schedule and showing us his ocean friends!

Frozen PreK Prom

Last Friday night we had so much fun celebrating our future kindergartners at their PreK Prom! Since "Frozen" has been such a phenomenon we decided to go with that theme. We had pin the nose on the Olaf, a "Do you want to build a snowman?" station, a frozen candy bar, and a photo booth with props. Our PreK 3 teacher, Mrs. Jessie complied a slideshow of her kids throughout the school year and even found a couple pictures on the computer of the kiddos who have been here since they were babies.

The photo booth, stage and pin the nose on Olaf.

A few minutes after the party started Anna and Elsa made a surprise visit and not only sang songs with our kiddos, but also did amazing face painting!

They were all so surprised to see Anna and Elsa!!

Singing "Let it go!"

We had so much fun playing and dancing the night away! We even had parents that danced and helped to make their children's night so special!
