Happy Thanksgiving!

Hello everyone! What a short week this week! We did a handprint activity in PreK and ordered it from biggest to smallest. Older classes got to draw what they were thankful for this year. To top things off we had a pajama day along with a movie. The movie we watched was, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", a good ol' classic. Classes also got to read the story, "The Night Before Thanksgiving" as well!

I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving! We thank you for all the love and support you all have given us through the year. We appreciate the trust you have in us to take care of your little bundles of joy. We know for some, this year hasn't been the easiest, but as you gather around the table and look around at your friends, your family, that you remember despite all trials and tribulations, that you're here. You have overcome. You are stronger than you were before. We love you all!

Ladybugs, Scarecrows, Turkey Dances, and Classroom Thanksgiving Celebrations!

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful week! This week had lots of fun activities. Classes got to participate in creating ladybug puppets, we read the story, "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly". Watching PreK 4 listen to the story was so much fun. The kids also would join in on the story on certain parts.

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, classrooms broke down to the turkey dance song. It's great to see all the dance styles from each of the classrooms. To finish things off for the week, classrooms had their Thanksgiving celebration. The cranberry sauce was definitely the star of the show. I mean who doesn't love cranberry sauce with their thanksgiving meal!?

Hand Turkeys, Ants, and Pie Competitions

Hello everyone! I hope this week has been good to you all. At the Academy, the older classes talked about the history of thanksgiving. It's so crazy how an event can create a holiday we all celebrate even today. Of course, we also made some handprint turkeys. Nothing like a good ol' classic activity and hearing the laughter of kids as they get their hand painted. It seems to always tickle them! Toddlers got to go on an ant hunt. It was a little rainy on Wednesday, so it was nice for our friends to walk around to hunt for the little ants. To top things off, we had a staff pie competition. Everyone that participated did such a good job, I wasn't sure who was going to win. While the votes were close with a few pies, the winner of the competition was Ms. Jodie! What a fun week.

This Is Halloween!

Hello there! We hope you all had a wonderful Halloween. It was on the colder side, but we are still so grateful for the fall weather. Monday, we had our Halloween celebration in our classrooms. Some friends dressed up for the occasion as well! Our infant teachers played the fun game of peekaboo with our kiddos. Now, I don't know about you all but there is just something about playing peekaboo with a baby that is just so much fun. It's nice to have it in our Frogstreet Curriculum. We read the story, "The Leaf Thief" in honor of the fall season. We hope that you all enjoy the weather this weekend!
