Pre-K Graduation ๐ŸŽ“

“Go into the world and do well. But more importantly go into the world and do good.” -Minor Myers Jr.

On Friday, our pre-K 4 littles graduated! We are so excited to see them start their next journey at big school! We hope that they have learned all they could while being here at AoHC with us and that we prepared them for what they will learn in kindergarten.

We hope our graduates and their families enjoyed their special night. A special thank you to Mrs. Renee and Mrs. Abby for all of their hard work and dedication throughout the year to the class of 2021. ๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŽ“๐ŸŽ“

Ooey Gooey Week

Wow! It’s been an awesome week at AoHC! We spent the week learning about different types of textures and the way they feel. On Monday, the classrooms explored with shaving cream. How many things can you make out of shaving cream? On Tuesday, there were water beads (orbeez) available at pick up for you to take home and explore with by watching them grow. Wednesday was a day full of dancing and painting! Our friends were able to paint with their dancing feet. Does the paint feel squishy to you?

Have you heard about the benefits of sensory play for early childhood learners? Some benefits include:

  • Helps to build nerve connections to the brain
  • Encourages development of gross and fine motor skills
  • Enhances memory
  • Great for calming strategies
  • Fosters thinking, creativity, and problem solving
  • Introduces the use of descriptive language
  • Stimulates all 5 senses
