Eating Our Textures

During lunch today we discussed the
textures we were eating.
We ate corn, pears and meatloaf.

We used our descriptive words to discuss how the
 food felt in our mouth.
The corn was rough, smooth and bumpy;
the meatloaf was squishy and smooth; and
the pears were smooth and funny tasting.

Some of us were not excited about meatloaf. :)
Cam was loving the pears and corn.
Mmm...good!
We love Ms. Jackie's cooking!

Did you know that February is Dental Health Month??

Our friends at Farrow Dentistry stopped by for a visit to talk about Dental Health!

“Oral health is such an important part of a child’s overall good health, and yet it can be overlooked in young children, said Michigan Dental Association President Gary Jeffers, D.M.D., M.S. “Good oral health habits should begin with an introductory dental visit before a child’s first birthday. Children’s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and with proper care, a healthy diet and regular dental visits, children can have a healthy and happy smile.”
