Summer WATER DAYS!!!!

What better way to spend Summer days then in the water? Here at AOHC we believe children benefit in water play. This helps them with their  coordination, exploration,  balance and strength.
Our sweet toddlers playing in the water table.
Some times we just need to sun bathe.

Water and sand? Yes!!Please!

Our Pre-K kids love the water sprinkler.

Toddlers had so much fun with our water ball sprinkler.
Even though our infants can not play in water does not mean they can not have a water experience. They enjoyed our water pad.
We believe children will learn best when they are playing through exploration. If you would like to know why AOHC values water play please CLICK HERE.

Field Trip days!!!

Did you know that our school age Summer program goes on 2 field trips a week during the summer? The kids have been waiting and waiting and now the time is finally here. If you can not tell by the excitement on their faces that they are really enjoying their summer break in TASK then stop on by and see why we are so pumped up about Summer 2016!!!
Henry Horton park was so much fun exploring.

 Port Royal Splash Pad.

Taking a break to enjoy some lunch. We pack and provide TASK lunches.

This has been a great kick off to our Summer program and we can not wait to see what is ahead, If you would like more information on why our TASK summer program is going to be a blast please Click Here. We believe children learn through play and what better way than to explore this summer?

Our Community, Our Family!!!

AOHC had a blast participating in the Memorial Day Event here in Spring Hill. We are big on community events because it gives us a chance to get out there and meet families all while having fun with them!! We are so thankful that we have been a part of this event for 2 years now and can not wait to come back next year!!!

Our booth had free face painting, balloons and tattoos.

Thank you for allowing us to bring a smile to children's faces!!!

We take pride in what we do!!!

We believe that in order for  a child to be successful it takes a team. This team is made up between family members , caregivers, & the community. This is why we participate as much as possible in any community event to let people know we believe in teamwork. If you would like more information on what it means to us being a part of your team please Click Here!!!

Summer TASK 2016

Summer TASK is finally in and Ms. Jane is as happy as the kids are. She has waited all year long to be able to kick off the summer with them. Next week starts our field trips two days a week and they are being very patience.

During rainy days and quiet time Ms. Jane allows them to play on their electronics, read a book, or even take a nap/
Don't worry everything they are playing is educational or fun. We monitor what they get on and communicate with the parents what is the best option for their child.

Some games allow two or three children participating.

Who's ready to have field day with Ms. Jane? For teacher appreciation Ms. Jane got a sweet tie dye field day shirt!

Outdoor play is vital to children's well being and creativity. They need this time to be little explores and use their imagination .
Every child will find something fun to do while in TASK. There is never a boring moment. If you would like to learn more on why our TASK program is so much fun please Click Here and look for Academy of Heritage Commons location.

MUD DAY 2016!!!

Mud Day is a big event that the kids look forward to all year long. It's a big muddy mess, but the kids really have fun playing in it. During the month of May we always have Mud Day on our monthly calendar.
Our Pre-K 1 classroom did not mind jumping right until our pool of mud!

Our older classroom Pre-K 3 had more fun playing in the water rinsing off than the mud.

Ms. Kristy our Pre-K 2 teacher makes sure all of the kiddos are nice and clean before pick up.
Our Pre-School 2 classroom loved to get their hands muddy.

The Toddler 1 classroom had no problem exploring in the mud.

We love to explore and play here at the Academy Of Heritage Commons. Playing in mud encourages creative thinking, creates memories, is a fantastic art medium, and helps develop positive dispositions. Ifyou would like to learn why we value learning through play please Click Here.

Happy Mother's Day!

Mother's Day treats! We wanted the Mother's to know how much we adore them so we made a buffet style bar. We appreciate and respect every mother. Without them we could not enjoy these little bundle of joys. The moms got to spend a little one on one time sitting down and eating and interacting with their children.
Sweet Treats? YES, Please! Please enjoy the fruit pizza bar and cucumber sandwiches.
Our mother's got to enjoy a fruit pizza bar. Blueberries, kiwi, & strawberries Oh My!

 We love you mom.
Mom I would like that one please!
This is going to be so good, I can almost taste it. It's getting closer, closer, yum!
I do not like my picture taken when I'm eating a cookie mom but I love you!
 This taste so good mom.
Look at the happy smiles we bring not only to the Mother's but to their children too.
Mommy's big helpers.
We value family time and connections here at The Academy of Heritage commons. We believe parents are  with us on this journey to help their children succeed. We thank you for allowing us to be a part of your children's lives.
