This week at AoHC, we got a shipments of new trikes for our outdoor playground! Those new shiny trikes are a hit with our Toddlers and Preschoolers.
But surprisingly the most fun our kids had were not the trikes but the cardboard boxes that it came in! What a sight to see our kids had with these boxes!
Has that ever happened where you bought a new toy and your child is more interested in the box it came in than the toy? Definitely something to laugh about.
Here are 5 cleaver ways to reuse those big cardboard boxes for a kid friendly fun:
- Dig out those Christmas lights and create a twinkly cubby
- Cardboard box town
- Create a multi-carriage train and pop some kids chairs inside for extra comfort
- Playhouse
- Make a set of cars for a drive in movie night!
So next time you get a big cardbox, save them and utilize them in great fun creative ways!
