We read The Lorax by Dr. Seuss on the playground on the green grass because we are "Greening Our Scene" this month.
The Lorax would love all of the recycling
we are doing this month at AoHC.
Ms. Leslie read to PreK 1& 3 out on the playground and the children loved it!!
Here are our Preschool 1 & 2 friends reading with Ms. Leslie. The closer they get, the better they can see.
PreK-2 discussed recycling and the importance of trees when they went back to their room.
They discussed the story and helped to retell The Lorax! Such big kids!!
After the reading of The Lorax PreK-3 used natural items they collected on a nature walk
to create pictures of nature!!
We love to make reading fun by reading in different voices, different locations, and utilizing puppets
during stories. We know children learn in different ways and use different techniques to insure
they get the most out of story time.
