Bike Safety Day

At the beginning of October we kicked off Health and Safety month with bike day. We let the kiddos ride laps around a blocked off section of the parking lot. We had arrows drawn on the pavement and cones for them to ride around. They loved having their own bikes at school and showing off their cool helmets!! During the day, each classroom talked about bike safety and we sent home bike safety tips with everyone.
Waiting to ride to the parking lot!

Go little man!!

Great job going around the cones PreK2!

Following the arrows.

So cute!

So much fun!

Hey buddy!

Bike day was so much fun here at AoHC. The kids have been asking when they can bring their bikes back, so I have a feeling we will be planning another bike day when we can fit it in!

Spring Hill Ham Fest

This past weekend we had so much fun at Ham Fest in Spring Hill supporting the Tennessee Children's Home. It was a huge event and we met so many families! We had a photo booth set up with hay, pumpkins, mums and of course our mascot ACE. The kids (and occasionally adults) came in and picked out photo props and took their pics with ACE.
Our awesome booth!
They were so cute all dressed up...

Dog Safety Class

Last week we had an awesome special visitor here at AoHC. Mrs. Heather, a local dog safety instructor, came and brought her sweet dog, Fiddle. They taught the kids how to approach a dog and the rules to follow if you want to pet a dog that is not yours.
Who has questions for Mrs. Heather?

Listening closely to the rules.

First ask "May I pet your dog?"

Next, hold out your fist and let him smell it.

Now you may pet the dog.

Dogs love to be pet on their ears.

We all learned so much!

It was so fun having Mrs. Heather and Fiddle come to visit. She taught us the three important steps before you pet a strangers dog. She also gave us other dog safety tips and sent us home with our very own dog training certificate!

Family Bounce Night

Last week we had our annual family bounce night at Monkey Joe's. Its always so much fun to give our families the opportunity to mingle and have some play. Outside family events are often the only way that some of the parents get to meet and talk. Monkey Joe's is the perfect opportunity to do so!

Teddy Bear Day

Last week it was National Teddy Bear day so all of our friends brought their teddy bears to school. The kiddos were so excited to show off their teddy bears. Some friends didn't want to bring their bears so they improvised with their favorite stuffed dog, lion, alligator, etc.

We had some big bears in Preschool Two.
