Fall Carnival!

Our Fall Carnival was a blast! We had face painting, a bounce house, apple toss, and a balloon artist. Families had fun watching their kiddos bond while getting to know their teachers better.

Educator of the Year

Last week we had our annual fall conference for a teacher inservice. This is a time filled with fun and ideas to bring back to class. At AoHC, we are blessed to have teachers with a passion for children and learning. We are proud to share news of a new award that is going to be offered annually within our company to recognize our teachers. The Educator of the Year award recognizes a teacher that goes above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that our families and kiddos are able to have the best preschool experience. Our Educator of the Year for 2019 is AoHC’s very own Renee Cox. Mrs. Renee is our pre-k program coordinator. She shares her wisdom with her coworkers and is always there to offer a helping hand. She allows her positivity to fill any classroom she happens to be working in. Renee strives to be a better teacher tomorrow that she was today. Please join us in offering Mrs. Renee a heart felt congratulations when you see her. Thank you for all that you do for your school family, Renee.

Fall is for Family!

This week at AoHC is super exciting! We are finishing up on all of our fall decorations for the Fall Carnival on September 6th. Our kiddos have decorated fall apples to be hung in the enrichment room. We can't wait to spend time with our families with a night full of games and fun!

Gearing up for a great year!

This week at AoHC is all about transitions. Since our Pre-k 3 friends have started Kindergarten,  our Prek-2 friends are moving up! This is an exciting time for all of us! On Friday, pre-k 2 friends celebrated their last day by dressing up as their favorite super heroes or princesses. Batman came to visit as well as Elsa. They also got to make their own cookies for snack! How independent of them. We look forward to playing, learning, and growing with our friends as they embark on their final year of preschool.

Back to School

It's that time of the year again, TASK is heading back to school and Prek 3 is heading off to kindergarten. It is also the time of year we switch from our summer curriculum back to Frog Street. For many children and families their summer routine is very different then that durning the school year. A great way to make this change less stressful is to practice a few days in advance so everyone can start to get used to the new schedule. Another thing to help make this transition less stressful for parents is to prioritize what has to get done, are there some things on your list that are less important and therefore can risk being skipped on a day that things are not going exactly as planned? Go to tnlearn.pbslearningmedia.org and pbs.org/parents for some great resources on first day jitters and parenting.

School is such a great place to meet amazing friends and learn so many new things! We love school.
