Duck Duck Goose, Watermelons, Color Parties and Teacher Inservice Day!

 Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful week! The weather has been unpredictable, but we are so glad that we have been getting a lot of sunshine! This week was an exciting one. Monday, PreK classes played a game of "Duck, Duck, Goose". It was so cute to see how excited our friends were as they were anticipating who would be the next goose.

Another fun day was Wednesday. Which was *drumroll* Watermelon Wednesday! For snack, all classrooms got to have a special treat. Now I don't know about you but I feel like the fruit mascot for the summer is TOTALLY watermelon! All of our friends really enjoyed having something different for afternoon snack.

With this week being a shorter week, we had a summer kick off celebration. We had a super fun color party! Classes all went out to the playgrounds and were able to throw color powder into the air. Now this activity was a messy one, but it was definitely a highlight for a lot of our friends. There was so much color everywhere! So much fun! 

Lastly, we had our Teacher Inservice day! A day where all of our Academy locations came together to help us start summer with a smile! We had a wonderful speaker that gave us so many tools to help better the teachers in the classrooms. Some of our girls even won some prizes! Which are much deserved! It was also great to see fellow teachers just as passionate as ours here at AOHC. Have a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!

Teacher Appreciation Week!

 Hi everyone! This past week was a very special one for our teachers here at AOHC. It was teacher appreciation week! Our theme was Super Mario Bros.! For the first day, administration and parents brought in power up items to our teachers. Whether it was their favorite drinks, snacks, or even some gift cards. Mario and Luigi came around to all the classes and had teachers pick a mystery box from the cart that had a special prize inside. 

The second day, parents and administration brought in the flower power! It was so wonderful to see all the kinds of flowers that were brought to our teachers were so amazing. Some of the children did get to pick which bouquet they wanted to give to their teacher.

On the third day of appreciation week, parents brought a whole bunch of things for "Peach's Potluck" and we are not joking about this, there was SO MUCH food that was brought for the girls and we are so grateful of how it turned out. It was so delicious! 

For the last two days of teacher appreciation week we had parents send special notes to their teachers along with Bowser's Monstrous Brunch. Again, parents really came through for our teachers with all that was brought. Administration came around again with some snacks to keep them going as well! We have definitely been blessed to have the best, supportive, and loving parents to shower all of our teachers with so much love. 

Lastly, not only did we want to celebrate the teachers, but all the mothers as well! With it being the Friday before Mothers Day, we had a Breakfast With Mom event that morning where moms had some time with their kiddos; eating, conversing with other moms, and mainly spending some time with their little one. What a fun week!
