National Dental Month

We got to celebrate National Dental month by painting pictures with toothbrushes. The teacher's also explained to them how to properly brush their teeth and which foods are good or bad for your teeth. They read books and played fun games about dental health. They were also given tooth fairy bags with goodies and their very own toothbrush! Remember every child should have their first dental check up at one year of age and regular check ups around every 6 months. Let's keep those pearly whites healthy!

Visit from Elsa and celebrating random acts of Kindness!

A surprise visit from the Queen of Winter, Elsa! Her visit was so magical. She read books to all of the children and gave them magical snowflake stickers. It was awesome and the children had so much fun! We also celebrated random acts of kindness. Each class talked about different ways to be kind to each other and everyone! Our Pre- K 2 class passed around kindness notes to every teacher. It was so sweet and cheered us up so much! 

Candy hearts winner and I love my Teacher cards

Oh, what a month of love we are having so far! Congrats to the Lafave family for winning our candy heart contest, they guessed the closest amount of hearts in the jar! They received a gift card to the movies, some delicious chocolates, and a cute little stuffed bear! We also had parents leave sweet notes for their teacher's on their classroom door. Such a sweet, simple way to show their appreciation. The teacher's LOVE it!

February Fun!

February has started out with a Bang! Families have started voting for the amount of candy hearts they think are in the jar. 1 vote per person and the person with the closest vote will win a Valentine's basket. We also read books to celebrate Black History month! The families were encouraged to join us in helping the children learn at a young age that knowing and accepting everyone is important by reading and checking out audio visuals at home. We also made predictions if the groundhog will see his shadow and he did! Get ready for 6 more weeks of winter, hopefully we can get some more snow! We have so many more fun days of February left filled with many activities. Welcome February!
