We have been kicking of the Spring season over here at The Academy of Heritage Commons! Last week we experienced lots of Spring showers outside so we had to get something fun going to occupy our kiddos. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!! We’ve had some leprechaun mischief going on this week. We found that our milk had been turned green yesterday morning and our yogurt was green today! Oh my! We have lots of friends that made sure to wear green this morning so that the leprechauns will come play today ☘️
Yesterday we had a special visitor who came to help us welcome Spring! Mother Goose taught us about the different types of birds we will see while we are outside. We learned about the Cardinal, Blue Jay, Crow, Owl, and the Hummingbird. Did you know that owls are nocturnal and the hummingbird is the only bird that can fly backwards? How cool is that?
What an amazing week we have had so far at The Academy of Heritage Commons! With Spring in the air, we have been enjoying our extra time in the fresh breeze outside. We are enjoying listening to the birds chirp and watching clouds move outside. Just look at the kiddos enjoying the fresh air :)
We kicked off March with a fun week full of Dr. Seuss styled activities! We showed off some crazy hair styles, silly socks, and some very wacky attire. The kids really went all out and we had lots of fun standing out from the crowd! As Dr. Seuss once said,
"Why fit in when you were born to stand out?"
