It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

After a fantastic Thanksgiving, we are so excited to start decorating the school for Christmas. I must say it is really beginning to look a lot like Christmas around here and we've only just began.
The Christmas Bear and Moose stopped by to read books!

Don't forget to write your letters to Santa and leave them in our mailbox.

Infant 1 has already started the fun with an ugly Christmas onesie contest.

Pre-k 2 is ready for snow so we can build some real snowmen but for now these adorable little guys help put us all in a festive mood.

Thanksgiving

Thursday we had our annual Thanksgiving dinner. As always it was such a great time to sit and eat with our families and celebrate what we are all so very thankful for. Each of our classrooms made beautifully creative center pieces for our tables and our pre-k 3 class shared how they thought you made a turkey, they were fantastic!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Nature Walk

On Wednesday we were supposed explore nature with a nature walk but sadly we got rained out. Thursday was an absolutely beautiful day and the kids loved seeing all of the leaves changing colors. It was a great opportunity for the children to see the different types of plants and trees that grow around our school. The kids loved getting to exploring outside.

Food Drive

Come stuff our Turkey! This past Thursday we kicked off our annual food drive for The Well Outreach. We are accepting all non perishable donations through November 14th. This is such a great opportunity to donate to a great outreach that helps our own community. This is a great chance to teach our children about giving and helping those who have less then others.

Pumpkin Investigation

This past week each classroom got to explore a pumpkin. We cut them open and let the children investigate what was inside the pumpkin. Some of the children loved the squishy mess of the insides of the pumpkins, while others were skeptical, but all of the children had fun seeing what was inside of the pumpkins.

Even the babies got to explore the pumpkins.

Fall Fest

It's that time of the year again, Fall Fest! We had our fourth annual chili cook off and the families really brought their A game this year. A ton of fun games for all of the kids to play,  a petting zoo and "unicorns" rides.  The kids all loved getting their faces painted, and the parents really enjoyed getting their pictures taken at our photo booth. Everyone really enjoyed this years Fall Fest and can't wait to see what we have planned for next year.

Fire Truck!

The Spring Hill FireDepartment brought a fire truck to visit us last Thursday. The firefighters taught the children about fire safety and what to do incase of a fire in their house or here at school. They also talked to the kids about stop, drop, and roll. Then the kids all got to go inside and explore the fire truck. It was a great expreience for the children and they learned so much!

Thank you Spring Hill Fire Department!
