KBC at the Academy

This week our friends in pre-k 3 started their cadet training. Kindergarten BootCamp is designed to help our friends be prepared for their next adventure in kindergarten. Ms. Renee has started working with our cadets on morning work and group art activities. This week, cadets wore their matching bootcamp shirts and participated in cafeteria day. Cadets learned how to carry their lunch tray and how to open their own milk carton. We look forward to continuing our boot camp training throughout the summer.

Wheels on the Bus 🚌

On Monday, we learned about the school bus. Some of our friends made hats, some painted, some colored, and some even got to go see our Academy bus. Our friends that went to see the bus learned about bus safety and how to use the seat belts.

We are getting ready for our annual Kindergarten Boot Camp at the Academy. We are so excited to meet our new cadets for our 2020 basic training! Our program is built around Williamson County Schools and is geared to provide a solid foundation for students entering kindergarten in the fall.

KBC is an 8 week course dedicated to teaching cadets important skills needed to navigate kindergarten. Some of these skills include: carrying a lunch tray, opening a milk carton, and using the library! This program comes fully equipped with fun activities such as parent workshops, special guests, and library days that will provide some idea of the days to come.

  • Kindergarten Routines
  • School Safety
