Magic Doug's Wonder Show

On Monday Magic Doug showed up ready to perform some great Magic tricks!! Our Preschool through our school aged kids all came out to watch him. The best part of the show was that all the kids could participate! He had so many volunteers throughout the whole show and the kids just loved it!! After the show he even let those who wanted to, touch the magic rabbit!

Carmella helping with the rabbit trick.

Some of our Preschool 2 class helping out.

Making silly voices and jokes.

Music Man Steve

Music Man Mr. Steve came to visit us on Tuesday. He was fantastic! He sang several songs and got the kids involved. We split into two different groups so he could play songs specific to age group. Our little ones got to sing familiar songs like "The Itsy, Bitsy Spider" and "The Wheels on the Bus." Our older group got to sing songs that they could participate in and Mr. Steve even took song requests. What fun!

A Visit From The Chinese Dragon

Monday we had a blast dressing up as a Chinese Dragon. Since we are talking all about China this week we thought it would be fun to show the kids an authentic looking Chinese Dragon. It took three of us to complete the look. All of the kids loved it and the ones that were a little nervous loved it when they saw the dragon had familiar faces under the costume!

The Awesome Dragon!
Checking out the dragon coming
through the enrichment room.
PreSchool One friends ran to Mrs. Momo!

Dancing through PreK 3.

Letting some of the kids try it out.
The Chinese Dragon was a big hit around AoHC. The kids have been asking where he is, so we might have to bring him out as a farewell to our China  theme at the end of the week!

Boot Camp Lunch

Our Kindergarten Boot Campers love visiting the enrichment room for lunch! They are doing so well reciting their lunch numbers, carrying their trays, and learning lunch room skills. Here are some photos of the boot camp kiddos opening their milk cartons all by themselves!
We opened our own milk!!

Way to go PreK 3!!

Water Slide Water Play!!

What a surprise when the kids arrived at school last Friday and saw the huge water-slide we rented for a very special water day!! They were so excited and we heard so many of them talking about the slide as they came in the front door. They couldn't wait for their outside time!!

The Slide!

Preschool One loving the slide!

So much Fun!

PreK 3 waiting patiently for their turn.

Action shot!

Splish Splash!

Alayna & Carmella

Our school age (TASK) kids loved it too!!

They all had a blast playing on the slide! We had a couple teachers that helped the little ones that wanted to go up get there and the ones that didn't want to loved splashing at the bottom!

Since we are getting so close to the holiday, we wanted to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July!! Click here for a link to some of the festivities going on around Williamson county.

Feeding The Fish

PreK 3 had a blast coming up to the front to feed the fish last Wednesday. We are so lucky to have a huge saltwater tank as our front desk and typically Kylee (our director) or myself (Christine-assistant director) feed them each day. In honor of "Water Works" week we saved the fish feeding duty for our kiddos to help with! The shrimp and plant mixture was thawed out and each child got to get a spoonful and dump it into the fish tank. We always have to be careful when feeding, because our puffer fish, "puffy" gets a little overexcited and tends to be at the top waiting for his breakfast!
Checking on the hungry fish.
Alayna dumping her spoonful in.

Collin's turn.

Colton loved it!

Wow! Look at them eat it all up!!

In our tank we have a yellow tang, a snowflake eel, an angel fish, a clown fish, a blue spotted grouper, and a porcupine puffer. We love our fish and our kids love to see them everyday when they get to school!!
