Pirate Dress Up Day

Here at AoHC on Tuesday was dress like a pirate day. Some of our kiddos came in full pirate garb and others got creative and wore a pirate ship shirt or a shirt with a skull and crossbones. We love the amount of parents and student participation we have! One of our teachers borrowed our face paint and gave everyone in their class a beard or mustache! What fun!!

Painting With Marshmallows

Last week during our "A Day at the Lake" theme PreK 3 painted with marshmallows. They made paint brushes out of a big marshmallow stuck on the end of a popsicle stick. Such a simple idea, but loved by all! Each time you let the children make a unique and different tool to paint with they get so excited! No boring paint brush for PreK 3 last week! (They might have had a couple marshmallows for a snack too!)
Colton was so proud of his painting!

Concentrating on their paintings.

Bye Bye Baby

This morning Ms. Sherry decided to take her babies for a morning stroll. They walked all around outside in the bye bye buggy. They loved seeing the prek kids playing on the playground. They just stared and laughed!
Hi babies!

We love Ms. Sherry!

Handsome Keaton

Precious Gage

Beautiful Haylee

Sweet Wes

Bye bye babies!

We love to take our babies outside whenever we can. Ms. Sherry teaches our Inf 1 class and cares for all of the babies before they are mobile. Having this buggy is such a blessing because it allows her to take four kiddos outside and let them enjoy the outdoors together. They love the change of scenery and Ms. Sherry loves making her babies happy!

Summer Shirt & Backpack Giveway

We were so excited to give our summer goodies out to our families this week at AoHC. We had awesome summer shirts and backpacks for the kiddos! We decided to put the shirts and backpacks in a bucket for the younger kids and tied a water squirter up to the school aged goodies. They were all so excited to pick up their buckets. We heard several of them tell their parents "we can't forget our buckets in our class!"

Stuffing all the buckets!

Our shirts and backpacks are awesome!

TASK goodies!

Creed loved his bucket!

Aria was so proud to carry her bucket!

Maggie and Jake showing off their goodies. :)

Houston had to put his shirt and backpack on as
soon as he picked which bucket he wanted!!

We are so happy to be able to give our kiddos goodies like this every summer! What a great way to kick off the summer and remind our families how important they are to us!! Later this summer we will have special days to wear our summer shirts all together and a special prize for the classroom who has the most friends who participate! Happy Summer!!!

Steel Drum Special Visitor

Yesterday we had Todd London of the Coral Bay Steel Drum Band come out and play some island sounds for us. He taught us all about his steel drum and the mallets he uses to play them. Our kiddos loved listening to his music and dancing to his songs. He played several popular songs including "Don't Worry, Be Happy" and "Under The Sea" from the Little Mermaid. The teachers all agreed that they wanted a visit to a tropical island after listening to him play!
