Rapunzel Makes An Appearance

Last week we talked all about different fairy tale adventures. We built castles, dressed like princes and princesses and made graphs of our favorite fairy tales. All these things were so much fun, but our favorite thing all week long was when Rapunzel visited from her far away kingdom. Our friends loved singing songs with, talking to and getting stickers from Rapunzel. Some of them even touched her long beautiful hair!

Rapunzel had to travel a very long way to get to the Heritage Commons Kingdom and we are so thankful that she did! We love when we have special visitors!

We always like to make learning fun at The Academy of Heritage Commons. Click here for a sensory writing activity you can do with your little princess. There is even a boy variation at the bottom of the page!

Road Trip in an RV

This week we have been talking all about Route 66 here at The Academy of Heritage Commons. One of the fun ways you could travel down Route 66 to see all the sights is in an RV. Mr. Bill and Mrs. Kathy brought their RV to our school so we could learn all about it! They taught us that RV stood for "Recreational Vehicle" and they also taught us about the different kinds that exist. Mr. Bill did the outside tour for us and Mrs. Kathy showed us around the inside. Each of our classes from our preschoolers and up got the whole tour of the RV and they loved it!
PreK 1 learning about the storage "basements."

Learning about the "levelers."

The RV is so big!

PreK 2 learning about the cameras.

This is where the engine is.

PreK 3 asking questions.

There was even a TV on the outside!

Checking out the couch and the table.

Watching the extra bed fold down from the ceiling.

How many people do you think can sleep in here?
It was so special that our friends got to explore the RV. BIG thanks to Mr. Bill and Mrs. Kathy who brought it out to us!! We learned so much and had so much fun! Several of our friends are claiming that they are headed home to ask their mommies and daddies for one too!
